Yes, we offer wedding dress cleaning across the whole of the UK. Whether you’re in a major city or a remote village, our trusted courier partners will collect and return your dress safely.
Where are you based?
We’re based in Nottingham. In fact, we’ve been running a local service in Nottingham since 2019 (Nottingham Wedding Dress Cleaning), but due to popular demand decided to offer a postal service to brides further afield with National Wedding Dress Cleaning.
How much is collection & delivery?
We charge a flat rate of £20 for collection & delivery throughout the UK.
Is my dress insured?
Yes. During transportation, your dress will be insured for a value up to £500 as standard. If you’d like to insure your dress to a higher value, the option is available when booking your dress clean through our website.
In addition, we carry full business insurance to cover us while handling and cleaning your dress. We know how sentimental your wedding dress is and we treat each one with complete care and respect. To date, we’re happy to say we have never needed to make an insurance claim!
How do I know my dress will be safe during transit?
We totally understand the worry of shipping your dress via courier. We’ve run a local service where we collect and deliver dresses in person for many years prior to creating National Wedding Dress Cleaning. That’s why we decided we would only offer a postal service if we could be sure bride’s dresses will be properly protected on their journey. To be sure of this, we ship out a tough and secure tote box for you to pack your dress into before shipping to us. You can find out more about how this works here.
How do I book the service?
Booking is quick and simple through our website. Simply visit our booking page, select your options (such as boxing or accessories), and we’ll send a sturdy tote box out to your address with full instructions on how to safely pack your dress. You’ll then be able to drop your dress off at a local DPD drop off point on a day and time to suit you.
Can I choose a specific re-delivery date?
Absolutely. We work with you to arrange a convenient day for both collection and return. If you have special timing needs—like moving house or going on honeymoon—just let us know.
Do you clean dresses that have been in storage for years?
Yes, we often work on dresses that have been stored away for a long time—even decades. Whether you want to restore a family gown or give your own dress new life, we’re here to help.
Can I get a quote before I book?
Definitely! Simply visit the booking page and select the options you need. Then visit the checkout to see your total price.
How do I know the fabrics in my dress will be suitable for your cleaning methods?
Unless your dress contains lots of dark contrasting colours, natural silk or natural crepe, it should be suitable for our cleaning methods! 99% of dresses we encounter are not a problem for us to clean safely.
If you’re not sure whether your dress will be suitable or not, don’t worry. Simply drop us an email with a photo of your dress and the care label, we’ll be happy to tell you whether we expect any issues during cleaning. Besides this, if we ever receive a dress we think isn’t safe for our cleaning methods, we will always inform you before proceeding and simply return your dress to you without cleaning if necessary.
What if I have an issue with the results?

How long does the cleaning process take?
The full process usually takes 6 to 8 weeks from collection to delivery, depending on the condition of your dress and the level of cleaning required.
What kinds of stains can you remove?
We’re experienced with all sorts of stains—makeup, fake tan, grass, wine, you name it – we’ve probably got lots of experience with it! While every dress is different, we always do everything possible to restore it beautifully.
Do you offer dress boxing or preservation services?
Yes—we offer beautiful preservation boxes to keep your dress safe long-term and we always wrap all dresses and accessories in acid-free tissue paper when boxing. Not only this, our boxes come with a personalised wooden name tag, which is a really nice finishing touch. It’s a perfect option if you’re storing your dress as a keepsake or for future generations!
Is there a weight or size limit for the dress you can clean?
Nope! We’ve worked with every style from simple satin gowns to layered princess dresses with long trains. We’re well equipped to handle all sizes and styles.
